The second exciting adventure in the Harry Potter series! source: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/5/5c/Harry_Potter_and_the_Chamber_of_Secrets.jpg |
This is the second book in the Harry Potter series, and it is even more amazing than the first. Harry spends another year at the magical school of Hogwarts, and learns new spells, has another exciting adventure, and faces and old foe. It has the same humour, and fun that the first had, and grows upon it. This series of books is intriguing, unique, and hard to put down once you start. I highly recommend that you don't miss out!
Why did you like this book so much? It seems you really enjoyed it, but why? Maybe try describing one of Harry's journeys to show how truly exciting it is; so people like me that haven't read the Harry Potter books will be more interested. I like that you have so many words to describe it, and that you recommended others to read it!
ReplyDeleteColton, you have clearly communicated how much you like this book through an enthusiastic voice and great positive adjectives like "amazing", "intriguing" and "unique". I disagree with Cara. I think you've given plenty of reasons for liking the book (Hogwarts, the new spells, the return of the "old foe", the humour, the fun, and the improvements over the first book). She does have a point that you haven't specifically outlined the plot, but I think that's the job of a summary, not a review.
ReplyDeleteI like the background you've chosen for the blog as well as the fact that you are writing additional posts beyond those required. However, the layout of your posts is a little confusing. I was a puzzled as to which post was your official summary and review, and it seems that some posts have combined somehow. It's a little awkward to see post #5 directly on top of post #6. However, the posts are insightful and fun to read. Great work on your blog!
I agree with Cara. Why did you like this book so much? What scenes in it made it too hard to put down? I agree once again, the series is a great read. There are only few people I've spoken to that have read the book that didn't enjoy it. For me, I haven't read this series in a few years. So like Cara said, maybe next time you could add a little more detail to tell us about certain, important parts in the book. Overall, good job with the post.
