6. The Sight - The Shadow, Morgra

" 'You are wrong. I love his hate,' growled Morgra, staring down at the living child and thinking of how delighted she would be to kill it when it was over. 'But enough. It is time. The Man Varg waits.' (David Clement-Davies The Sight 462)

I feel that Morgra is the Shadow in this story, I feel she fits this role as she kills and tortures many wolves, merely to control them all. And she believes what she is doing is right. She is out to stop the Hero, Larka, which is another characteristic of the Shadow. I believe that the quote fits this because it shows how she is hateful and she loves to kill innocents. Although, she was betrayed which lead her to become this way, which is not necessarily a characteristic of the Shadow. But overall I feel that she fits this role.

  1. Nice description on your thinking :)
Sounds like Morgra is an interesting character.
I'm glad you put the quote in italics.

  2. Morgra does indeed fit this role based on your description. I might have to read this book just to find out more about her. I think this post needs information about Larka's goals, and how they interfere with Morgra's. What is Larka doing that Morgra is trying to stop?
Also, I think there should be the word "Page" or the abbreviation "pg." in front of the page number of your quote. Also be sure to put the name of the book in italics.

  3. I like the way you kncluded the reason Morgra is the way she is. I think it makes the book more interesting when the Shadow has a past that explains them, and it was a good idea to explain it as part of the description.

If you really like this book, there's a sequel, called "Fell".
